MY WEEK WITH MARILYN

With Michelle Williams,Eddie Redmayne, Kenneth Branagh, Julia Ormond, Emma Watson, Zoë Wanamaker, Dougray Scott, Toby Jones,

Written by Adrian Hodges (based on the books "My Week with Marilyn" and "The Prince, The Showgirl and Me" by Colin Clark)

Directed by Simon Curtis

Based on the real life experiences of Colin Clark and his encounter with movie icon Marilyn Monroe in 1956, this interesting slice of little known history got Williams some nominations and awards like the Golden Globe for her portrayal of Monroe.

Colin Clark weaseled his way into a job on the set of Laurence Olivier's new British film, set to star Marilyn Monroe who wanted to push her career into a new direction. Flying to England with her new husband, playwright Arthur Miller and her forceful acting coach, Monroe's critical emotional time has her confide in Clark when the experience on The Prince And The Showgirl proves too much for her.
As the fantasy object of desire for millions around the world, this unknown British lad got closer than most.

With the BBC film feel all over it, all boxes get checked on this Weinstein production, from historic accuracy to good performances wrapped around a fascinating story not many are aware of.
